At the end of the 1990s, the British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc) developed a universal color code for the first time, recommended for use in the cleaning industry.
To maintain and keep spaces in perfect condition, our teams use a different product for each material.
Indeed, for industrial cleaning, it is imperative to use a color code for microfibers to avoid contamination. La Providence has established a specific color code for each area, as defined below:
In addition to the color code, we recommend always cleaning in ascending order of bacteriological risk. For example, in locker rooms, we start by cleaning the sinks first, then the showers, and finally the toilets.
Color coding benefits
The use of a color code has many benefits. This color code prevents the spread of bacteria. It also allows our teams to apply it to the packaging of our products when possible (colored cap).
This organization allows us to structure our working methods to guarantee perfect hygiene. Finally, the use of these microfibers is part of our CSR approach because they are washable multiple times.
