Before cleaning your screen, you’ll need the right materials: two microfiber cloths to avoid leaving lint and a special screen cleaner that won’t harm the surface. Once you have the right materials, follow these three careful steps:

1. Start by turning off the device you want to clean. While you’re not at risk of electrocution, your devices can hold static electricity, and a short circuit could irreversibly damage your device. Plus, turning off the screen helps you see the smudges more clearly.

2. Using a microfiber cloth lightly dampened with your screen cleaner, gently rub in circular motions starting from the center to avoid streaks. For stubborn marks, feel free to repeat the process without pressing too hard.

3. Use your second clean microfiber cloth for the finishing touches.

As for keyboards, it’s also important to turn off your device to prevent damaging active circuits. Once the device is off, follow these three steps:

1. Brush the tops of the keys, as keyboards are constantly in contact with your fingers and are naturally dirtier than the rest of your computer.

2. Use antistatic foam, the best product for your keyboard. This highly compact, multi-purpose cleaning foam is non-flammable, antistatic, and leaves no residue. It perfectly cleans textured surfaces while leaving a pleasant scent.

3. Finally, use a cloth to wipe off dirt and blow-dry the top of the keys with a compressor.
