La Providence validates its Greenhouse Gas Reduction Targets: A strong commitment to a sustainable future

We are proud to announce that our greenhouse gas reduction targets have been officially validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). This recognition confirms that our climate goals are aligned with the latest scientific recommendations.

The urgency is clear. The latest IPCC climate reports—described by the UN as a “code red for humanity”—remind us that it is still possible to limit global warming to 1.5°C, but the window of opportunity is narrowing rapidly.

This validation marks a major step in our environmental approach and strengthens our responsibility to reduce emissions quickly and significantly. The global objective is clear: halve emissions by 2030.

We invite all stakeholders to join this collective effort by aligning with the science and adopting ambitious targets to limit global warming and aim for net-zero emissions.

This challenge calls for collective action. Together, we can build a sustainable future.
