What is flex office?
"Flex office" refers to the absence of fixed workstations for employees. Instead, workers choose their workspace based on their current task, whether it's near team members for a project or in a large meeting room.
This practice has gained popularity in France, with 22.5% of Parisian companies adopting it by 2018, according to a Parella/Esquisse study. However, questions arise about confidentiality, personal storage, and cleanliness—especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
How can employees be sure they’ll find clean, healthy workspaces?
How do cleaning companies organize themselves to maintain these work spaces on a daily basis and what are the differences with cleaning within a traditional work organization?
The rise of flex office is due to three main factors:
- Occupancy rates: Employees are not always in the office simultaneously due to their tasks, travel, or client assignments. This results in unused spaces, leading to significant costs for companies.
- Digital solutions and remote work: The adoption of digital tools has made remote work easier, enabling employees to complete tasks from anywhere.
- Team cohesion and innovation: Allowing teams from different departments to work together promotes better collaboration and innovation.

Key Features
